Ukester
Beginner/Novice Group
The beginners group meets
an hour early (5:30) at Mountain Music. The idea here
is to get together new players/beginners needing/wanting
basic coaching in Uke playing. J. Curley has authorized
use of The Parlor or parking lot up to an hour prior
to the regularly scheduled meetings. Mike Walker has
agreed to help us get started working on the basics.
Interested strummers should meet at 5:30.
See you there! |
The
Kansas City Ukesters were invited to perform at
the Roasterie Coffee House in
April, and perform we did! We ran through most
of our "greatest hits" which included
our Irish tunes, World War l tunes, and the usual
variety of fun strummers that we love to play.
A good time was had by all. Click

| It
was bound to happen. Our friends across the prairie
in Lawrence Kansas have established their own Ukulele
Club. They meet every 4th Tuesday, at 7:00 pm at the
Flying Cow. Contact Emily Russell erussell32@yahoo.com for
more details. The
Kansas City Ukesters wish them the best of luck and
perhaps we can get together someday and strum. |
The Kansas City
Ukesters marched in the World Famous Brookside
St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was cold
but it was fun! Kudos to those who were able
to march.

The Kansas
City Ukesters were out in force on
November 10th to help honor the veterans at
the Liberty Memorial. The show was filled with
World War Era songs and music and even some "vintage" kazoos
were on hand. The audience sang along and the
reception was overwhelming. We have already
been asked back again next year. (More
